The Victron Energy Smart BatteryProtect 48V 100A protects a battery bank against excessive discharge by disconnecting non-essential DC loads before the battery voltage falls to a damaging level. It can also preserve enough battery capacity to start an engine and can be configured to function as a system on/off switch.

Built-in Bluetooth allows the connection and disconnection voltage thresholds to be programmed through the VictronConnect app. Nine predefined voltage profiles can also be selected using the programming pin. VictronConnect Instant Readout displays warnings, alarms and errors directly from the device list for quick system diagnostics.

The Smart BatteryProtect is a unidirectional device. Current can flow only from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal. It can control current going to a load or current coming from a charger, but it cannot handle both directions simultaneously. Correct installation orientation is essential.

This unit is suitable for protecting 48V battery banks in marine, vehicle, off-grid, backup and industrial DC systems. Its high-current capacity, programmable thresholds and remote monitoring features make it a practical alternative to using a conventional high-current relay for battery protection.
