GX IO-Extender 150

The Victron Energy GX IO-Extender 150 expands the input and output capabilities of a compatible Victron GX device, such as the Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX. It adds configurable digital connections, PWM outputs, latching relays, and a solid-state switch for integrating additional sensors, alarms, controls, and external equipment.

The module connects to the GX device through USB, which also supplies its operating power. Once connected, its inputs and outputs become available through the GX interface and can be controlled from the Switch pane or incorporated into custom automation using Node-RED.

Key Features:

• Eight Configurable Digital I/O Ports: Includes eight digital ports divided into two groups of four. Each group can be configured as either inputs or outputs using the built-in DIP switches.
• Four PWM Outputs: Provides four 0–5V PWM channels for compatible control applications such as LED dimming and motor-speed regulation.
• Two Latching Relays: The two potential-free relays maintain their selected position even if power is lost.
• Solid-State Switch: Includes one electronically controlled DC switch with connections for battery positive, battery negative, and the connected load.
• USB Connection and Power: Connects directly to an available USB port on the GX device and receives operating power through the same connection.
• GX Interface Control: Inputs, outputs, PWM channels, and relays can be viewed and controlled through the compatible GX device interface.
• Node-RED Automation: Supports advanced monitoring, automation, and control logic when used with a GX device that supports Node-RED and Venus OS Large.
• Port-Status Indicators: Blue and orange LEDs provide a visual indication of the current state of each connection.
• Flexible Mounting: Can be mounted directly to a wall or installed on a DIN rail using an optional adapter.

Important: The GX IO-Extender 150 is intended primarily for signaling and control applications. Its digital outputs must not be used to switch electrical loads directly. The relays and solid-state switch also have specific current and voltage limits that must be observed. An appropriate external relay, contactor, or switching device may be required for higher-power loads.

The GX IO-Extender 150 is a practical expansion module for marine, mobile, industrial, backup, and off-grid energy systems that require additional sensor inputs, alarm connections, equipment controls, or customized automated responses.
