The Victron Energy 12V/240Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery is a sealed, maintenance-free VRLA battery designed for deep-cycle service and demanding high-current applications. Its low internal resistance makes it especially suitable for inverter systems, electric motors, thrusters, winches, backup-power systems and other equipment requiring substantial short-term current.

AGM technology holds the electrolyte inside an absorbent glass-fiber mat between the battery plates. This sealed construction eliminates routine electrolyte maintenance, while safety valves allow gas to escape if excessive charging pressure or an internal fault occurs.

Battery life depends heavily on depth of discharge, charging quality and operating temperature. Avoid leaving the battery deeply discharged, use a charger with an appropriate AGM profile and follow the recommended charging voltages to obtain the best service life.
