Dual charging inputs ensure continuous power replenishment: solar panels capture renewable energy during daylight hours, while an alternator harnesses engine output to charge the battery bank during operation. This hybrid approach maximizes uptime and reduces dependency on shore power, making it ideal for extended cruising and remote anchorages.
Two SmartSolar MPPT controllers manage your solar arrays. Array #1 connects to a SmartSolar MPPT 100V/50A controller producing 270W, while Array #2 connects to a SmartSolar MPPT 150/45 controller also producing 270W. Combined solar input reaches 540W under optimal conditions.
Two Orion XS 12/12-50A DC-DC chargers pull power from your boat's alternator, delivering a combined 1400W output to your 10.2kWh battery bank. This dual-charger configuration enables rapid charging cycles—from 0 to 100% capacity in approximately 5 to 6 hours under full alternator load.
Your battery bank benefits from three independent charging sources: dual solar arrays via MPPT regulation and dual DC-DC chargers via engine power. This redundancy ensures reliable energy replenishment whether you're anchored in sunlight or underway with engine running.
